Continue reading BAREBJ - Pictures at an Exhibition.
A short video describing the atmosphere as the opening of BAREBJ was quieting down, a group of friends remaining listening to the music of Federico Hoffman.
The first exhibition of the project opened in Espacio Formosa in Buenos Aires yesterday, entitled BAREBJ. We will soon be attaching some images from the show and from the opening, but first here is a series of three images taken around the opening, but not concentrating on it precisely, but rather emphasizing peripheral instances.

So here we here in BA have remixed the walk through the street by
Elaine, using a process in SuperCollider and as parameters the
house-numbers in the representative 'manzana' in Nuñes.
The sound is here.
The sound is here.
This video was made during a walk through the heart of Reykjavík in March 2010, from an opening of an exhibition in the artists' collective Living Art Museum to the more official National Gallery of Iceland.
This is a link to a mixed sound walk that 谢婷婷 Hailey Xie and i made in January, seven days after another big snow storm in Beijing. I am walking with the ZOOM H4n digital recorder with built-in mics, Haxi is using a minidisc player and Sound Professionals in-ear binaural mics. If you listen carefully you'll hear some things in a strangely layered effect, though i'm sorry though to say, i've destroyed the binaural in putting our tracks together. Here's from the doorstep of HomeShop to the edge of the alleyway, before everything gets lively.
When I was exporting the file for this, somehow the file became corrupted and time-stretched... Thought you all might enjoy that, too. Listen here.

These images document the houses around a block in Nuñes in Buenos Aires. Each strip represents one street, first Calle Manuel Pedraza, then is Calle Arcos, the third is Calle Juana Azurduy and the fourth Calle Cuba. The images represent the numbered houses in the block, with the main doorway of every house being in the center of each image.
